Mad Season 10 March 2006

It seems like it is a mad season.
The past few days has been one hell of a rollercoaster ride for me. Some days I’m excited. Some, confused. I find myself highly annoyed, wanting to pick a fight then there were moments where I’m just sitting out front sipping tea, listening to music and having a cigarette or two. I’ve got to find some sort of balance. This is starting to get out of hand. I’m not liking it, not liking it at all.
This brings me to a thought. Well– not exactly but something that occured last night. You probably guess it, it’s Matchbox 20′s Mad Season. I dunno why I listened to the entire album — twice. But I did. The song, Mad Season, particularly caught my attention. Why? It somehow voiced out my current state.
I’d like to cite a few lines that somewhat gives an idea of what I’m talking about.
do you think you can cope
you figured me out — i’m lost and i’m hopeless
i’m bleeding and broken — though i’ve never spoken
i come undone — in this mad season… now i’m crying — isn’t that what you want
i’m trying to live my life on my own
but i won’t
at times — i do believe i am strong
so someone tell me why, why, why
do i feel stupid and i came undone.
Still don’t get it? Well, don’t look at me. I’ve said enough, don’t you think?
Humor Me.

I have been listening to mad season River of deceit and wake up again and again and again…and again, I like mad season for the same reason you like them, their music is sad but beautifully sad and they express sadness in a very touching way they out words into feelings that are hard to describe.. and for the young people who might be thinking what a sado I have got this to say to them.. to live with out suffering is not to live, to love without feeling the pain is not to love, and not to feel pain is not to feel the pleasure, mad season are in line with Jeff Buckley and sound garden ..no doubt they aren’t there for your pleasure or to make it to the top charts..i’m sure they don’t mind but they like getting there by being 100% them selves you like it or not… and that’s original
Define life by living it. Melancholy doesn’t equate to richness. Originality is always influenced by history. So, tell me, what is original anyway?
Copernicus, Aristotle and Socrates may have been the pioneers but how can we be sure that no one ever thought of the same things before them?
Something will always be new since the audience will continue to change.
